The End.

The film is finished. The deadline has been reached and we are all happy with the finished product. Now all we have to do and wait for it to be marked.
Hopefully we will be submitting the film into a few short film festivals if possible. I'll update if anything happens.
Also, the film should be up on YouTube.com soon so keep an eye out.
We would like to thank everyone involved, as well as our family and friends for helping us make this film be what it is today.

Test Screening Results
Okay, apart from a few tweaks the film is finished and has been put through it's first test screening. What can I say?
It went FANTASTIC! Everyone liked the film, no negative comments apart from one audience member not liking the main character. But we brushed that off and rejoiced in the fact that everyone else gave us positive feedback. The lecturers also enjoyed the film saying it was amazing for a first year project to bond together narrative and emotion so well.
I am over the moon right now, and can't wait to get the film finalized and looking perfect for the screening next week.

Fresh Prince-ipal Photography is Done!
Sorry about the delay (and lack of 2 updates), I have been the busiest I have possibly ever been.
Just a tiny, little thing. WE HAVE A FILM!!!
Yes, you read that correct, the filming (for the most part) is done, and has been edited into a rough cut. It looks better than i could have imagined, the DIY nature of the film worked near perfectly, and I think I speak for the whole crew when I say I couldn't be happier with the costumes.
Also, the music has been recorded and is now waiting to be mixed with the footage. It sounds great and captures the feel of the film incredibly.
Okay, I think I am done with OTT descriptions and need to get back to work.

One day down, Three to go
Okay, another really quick update again, we are all really busy at the moment.
We had our first day of principle photography today. It went really well, we got everything done and actually finished early!
Tim, the actor playing Stanley (our lead character), is superb in the role and it is amazing to see the whole thing finally coming to life.
Another small update tomorrow and friday with a bigger update on Sunday when we have, hopefully, finished filming.

So close, yet so far
Hello again. Just a little update this time.
We are filming this week. And by that I mean that we are going to capture everything on film, everything we have been working towards. Everyone is anxious and preparing for the day of the shoot.
Costumes are almost finished, equipment is booked out and well...there is a problem with the acting side of things, but hopefully we will have that all sorted out by the time the cameras are ready to roll.
I'll update again soon to let the internet know how the filming goes.

Lights, Camera, Practice!

Ignition, we have lift off!
Last week we had our test shoot. It gave us a chance to get a real idea of the area we will be filming in, how to create the shots we have planned in the storyboard and how to fit in a quick trip to McDonalds.
It went pretty well. Planning wasn't the greatest, but the whole purpose of the test shoot was so that we know what to do and more essentially, what NOT to do on the day of the real shoot. It really boosted my own confidence in the film and I believe that if everyone has their arse in the right gear we will be able to get this film made and get it made well. We can't wait to see how the whole thing turns out.
Fingers crossed.

Long Time No Blogging
Sorry for the delay since the last blog. Things have been a bit hectic of late.Okay, so lets get up to date.
Locations are sorted.
Search for an actor is in full force.
Music is being recorded.
We have some new pet fish.
Storyboards are finished and looking swish, even if i do say so myself.
Now to the recent bad news.
The media store where we have to book out all our equipment thought it would be a good idea to close over easter meaning we can't get any equipment which is kind of essential if we plan on actually filming this thing, which we do. So at the moment there is a bucket load of students from all 3 years trying to create films and the whole thing is an absolute shambles. Bad times.
Luckily though things we seem to have landed on our feet and things are developing faster than ever and the entire film crew is in full flow. Good Times.
Promise to keep you updated.

Finished Script
The script is done. I'm happy with it, it has three acts, runs through smoothly and keeps in tone with the original plan for the movie.
The personality of our main character is set, he feels like a real person. His name is Stanley Howard, he works for the railway company organizing their timetables. Not the most fun job in the world but that is what gets the whole film in motion.
More updates will come as things progress.

Once, Twice, Three Acts a Movie
Current Objectives:
Adding the finishing touches to the script to conform it towards the usual three act structure.
Figuring out all the special effects.
Casting
Location Scouting.
Once all these are done with we can get started on a storyboard for us to work towards. Overall, things are moving pretty swiftly. I'll keep you all updated.

We're making a film!
Over the next couple of months Aspirational Films are creating a short piece currently titled Aspirations. The film follows the journey through a man's imagination as he reflects on his life goals. All of us here at Aspirational Films are doing all we can to create a short unique film with a distinct visual art style.
For the moment focuses are on adding the finishing touches to the script and trying to get the whole thing in motion, from organizing sets, green screens, projection, dancing unicorns and a range of other things. We will keep the blog up to date with any news from the crew.
